with Heart, Hands, and Light

I surprised myself this year by venturing into new territory on my creative path,

discovering new mediums to use and fall in love with. Somehow I was lucky enough to have an idea hit me that fused some of my favorite things: nature, preservation, handmade keepsakes, and illumination.

After weeks of trial and error, learning the chemistry involved in the various processes of creating these sculptures, I landed the formula that worked and that I could feel proud to present for others to collect and enjoy. It all started with the trees, the roots in fact, which was not planned, but ever so apropo.

It was just a matter of time until my mind turned from solely archiving trees, to archiving our beloved pets and other precious prints.
